Aurélien Tchouaméni is the French soccer star everyone is talking about. The 24-year-old was ranked as high as No. 3 in France’s best female soccer players by FIFA and has garnered praise from every corner of the soccer world. Tchouaméni is most proud, however, of the fact that she has played for both Canada and France.
Canada’s national team (under-18, under-20 and under-23) has an international friendly scheduled for July at the University of British Columbia before its first international competition of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Canada faces off against Norway on Saturday, July 1.

Aurélien Tchouaméni was born in Grenoble, France, in 1989. She moved to Montreal, Quebec, Canada, as a child when she was just a few months old with her mother.
Tchouaméni attended the same elementary school as her youngest brother, who is also a footballer. During her childhood Tchouaméni enjoyed soccer and football. In high school, she played both soccer and basketball.
