Julia Roberts brings a touch of class to the “Ticket to Paradise,” the story of a woman who becomes an executive assistant to a high-rolling mogul and falls in deep with the rich and famous.

For most of her life, Julia Roberts has been in the spotlight. She was a little person in a little show in “The Parent Trap” and starred in the remake of “Fatal Attraction” and “The Big Wedding” before earning her first Oscar for the 1988 comedy “Naktopus.” But now she has a chance at a different kind of fame—as the mistress of a global super-rich man.

The “Ticket to Paradise” is a romantic comedy that doesn’t shy away from the subject of wealth. The title comes from a line in a poem by the late jazz critic Nat Hentoff: “For all you know, there’s a man that knows where to find tickets to paradise.”

And that’s what Julia Roberts has found this wayward rich guy.

“This is a movie about being vulnerable,” she says. “But it’s not just that. Being vulnerable, and being loved and having people love you and having a lot of attention, and wanting to fit into that world is a little bit of a struggle.”

“Ticket to Paradise” is based on the real life story of Roberts’ character, a young and ambitious business executive, who tries to navigate the world of the super-rich and become an executive assistant to a high-rolling mogul. But one day he’s forced to make a choice.

“As the movie is a romance, he has to go back to a place where he had fallen in love and he chooses to stay,” says Roberts.
