  • Condition: This antique Chinese figural embroidered yellow silk sleeve band cuff pair skirt belt trim dates from the late 19th century during the Qing Dynasty. It is made of a pale yellow cream color silk fabric with multicolored pastel hand embroidered fanciful figural scenic design of a Chinese women in the garden with pagoda shrine temples, mountains, flowers, trees and butterflies. This pair of embroidered silk sleeve band cuffs would have been used on a robe for added decoration and symbolism. It appears to have been reworked upcycled into a lappet style collar, skirt belt trim connecting the two cuffs at the top with a matching silk band and backed in a newer black fabric. The trim each measure 31 inches long, 13 inches wide across the top and each cuff is 3 1/4 inches wide. It is in good condition, with only a few faint tiny stains (see close-up). This is truly a beautiful unique one of a kind piece of antique Chinese textile embroidery art.

    This antique Chinese figural embroidered yellow silk sleeve band cuff pair skirt belt trim dates from the late 19th century during the Qing Dynasty.
