Antique SILK QING DYNASTY Chinese Governor Official Costume Mandarin 1900s
As far as authenticity goes, this piece is 100% authentic and some great people have even confirmed this on ebay. I was told this belonged to a lower ranking military official but that it is not handmade. It was machined in the 1850s because the Qing has these silk machines at that point, and with all the pieces and the provenance i was told this belongs in a military museum, which i agree. I am only housing this on ebay temporarily because i'll be sending this piece, as well as a couple of others i have, to an auction house when the current disease crisis is over and things are moving freely again. If someone meets my ask price is great, but if you want it for less we will have to wait till i send it into auction.
**Black Shirt Measures 65" Wrist to Wrist, and 48" Shoulder to knees. I forgot to take the measurements of the main coat, but it's about the size of the shirt measurements i took. Sole of the shoes measures 10".
**Lot Contains Shirt, Trousers, Jacket/ Coat, Official Hat, Smoking Pipe, Tobacco Bag, Shoes that were never worn (Shoes supposedly made in the old style, according to letter) and a Letter from 1928 Describing the Provenance (American Worked in the Christian Mission in China)
** Top piece of Hat is not broken off, just unattached but in general the glass ball is in poor condition, looks beat up and chipped. The piece unscrews and screws into the hat. There are 50 Photos in my FLICKR account, the direct link to the photos is here...

** Letter of Provenance is completely photographed for you to read. It's a person from the Rev. Hollis S. Smith American Church Mission (Chiangsu, Kiangsu) named Mr. Yardly, sending these ensemble to a friend in America on November 26, 1928. He says many things that i need not explain since the letter is photographed and available to read.
