Description
The Costa Rica 1,000 Colones was issued in 2013 with a pick number P-274 featuring original artworks by illustrator Fernando Zeledon. The obverse features Braulio Carillo Colina who served as the Head of State of Costa Rica. It also shows the original shield of the ESTADO DE COSTA RICA and the map of the country on a see-through leaf. The reverse displays a scenery of a dry forest in Guanacaste with a tree, pitahaya cactus flowers, white-tailed deer, and scorpions. The banknote which is 125 x 67 mm in size bears a simulated security thread and a watermark that reflects leaves. This particular Series B Costa Rica 1,000 Colones comes in uncirculated condition. It has also been authenticated by the Banknote Worlds TAP authentication system.
