    Description

    The Costa Rica 2,000 Colones was issued by the Central Bank of Costa Rica in 2013 with a pick number P-275. Its obverse displays open books and a close-up image of Mauro Fernandez Acuna who was the President of the Congress. In the background is the Colegio Superior de Senoritas building which is located in San Jose. The map of Costa Rica is also shown in Optically Variable Ink. The reverse of the note illustrates an underwater scenery showing a bull shark, a coral reef, a starfish, turtles, and corals. The blue banknote that is 132 x 67 mm in size bears a windowed security thread with a demetalized BCCR 2000. It also has a watermark that reflects Mauro Fernandez Acuna and an electrotype 2000. This Series A paper bill comes in uncirculated condition and is TAP authenticated.
