    Tony Sarg was a German American puppeteer and illustrator. He was described as "America's Puppet Master", and in his biography as the father of modern puppetry in North America. He passed away in 1942.
    There are a lot of unknowns about the matchbook used for this t-shirt. Where was Chapin's Lunch located? Was this artwork done specifically for the matchbook? Or is it a tribute to him after his death?
    We might never know, except for the fact that this matchbook was from the early 1940s.
