    Description

    The term Nemadji comes from the Ojibwe Native American word for "left handed." In Minnesota, there is a State Forest and a river that bear this name. In 1921, a business located in nearby Moose Lake, Minnesota also opened with the name Nemadji. The company called Nemadji Tile and Pottery quickly became known for producing clay pottery with swirling colorful designs.
