Tory Lanez gets house arrest until Megan Thee Stallion assault case goes to trial
Tory Lanez has been on leave since the violent incident in June, and her mother is on a court date this week, so she’s been free to pursue other projects. But Lanez has also been given a reprieve from being locked up in prison for a month.
Lopez has been jailed for assaulting an Uber driver after a night of drinking at a New Jersey bar on June 9. At the time, he was serving jail time after being arrested for aggravated assault stemming from a fight at a nightclub in February 2016. He was then sentenced to time served. He said he was innocent. Lanez claimed Stallion attacked him with a shoe in the front and knee on the back and neck. After the assault, he said Stallion tried to take his shoes, but he managed to run out the door. Lopez also said Stallion kicked his head in the back and knocked him out when he went back inside the bar.
Lopez said Stallion was upset about being thrown out of the bar. He said Stallion also had a problem with his mom.
“Megan was really upset with her son for what he did,” Lanez said. “And I said, ‘It’s because of your son I’m in jail.’”
Lanez claimed Stallion started calling him names, and she threw a shoe at him. “She tried to hit me, but it didn’t hit me, so I just said, ‘
